GOLFSTAR CAMBRILS
Outside the small town Cambrils, there is this pretty cool new golf place called GolfStar Cambrils, where you can try to play golf without being a pro. This place is for all people who want to play golf an have a great time!
GolfStar Cambrils is not far away from WISSLER La Pineda, only a 12 minutes’ drive by car. By bus, it’s a 1,5 hours’ drive and you can take the bus right beside the beach.
They have this automated ball machine, and you only have to pay for the balls, which starts at 2 euros, so it’s not an expensive activity. They also have this fun family golf quiz to try and if you answer all the questions right, you can win prices. GolfStar Cambrils is like the perfect spot to give golf a shot, and trust me, it’s super fun.
And here’s a little secret – after a round or when I need a break, I love heading to their terrace to enjoy a glass of vermouth and some olives in the sun. It’s like the cherry on top of a great day at GolfStarCambrils!
So if you want to try golf and enjoy a fun day, bring your family and friends.
A TRIP TO TARRAGONA
One of my favorite things to do on a day off from WISSLER is going on day trip to Tarragona. Tarragona is only a short bus or taxi ride from WISSLER and La Pineda. The bus stop is right beside the beach close to WISSLER. It only takes 18 minutes by bus to Tarragona and cost around 2,5 euro or 15 minutes with a taxi and that cost around 20 euro.
Part Alta
The city is full of Roman ruins, and my favorite is the impressive amphitheater by the sea. I love walking around the old part of the town Part Alta. This is such a cozy part of the city with a lot of speciality stores in the small streets, where you can find everything from handmade jewellery to local liquor.
Theres is also a beautiful cathedral, Cathedral Basilica Metropolitan and Primate of Tarragona of Santa Tecla, which is one of the jewels of the Gothic and is placed on the highest part of the hill. Take a break in Part Alta at one of the small cafes and drink a cup of coffee while enjoying the sun.
Shopping options
Along the Ramble you will find lots of stores, and if you keep walking along the Ramble towards the sea, you will end your walk with the wildest view over the sea. I think it’s the best viewpoint in town.
And if it’s raining, don’t worry, you can go to El Corte Inglés and Parc Central. El Corte Inglés is like a department store with different brands. Parc Central has 4 floors with lots of stores.

Playa del Miracle
If you aren’t the biggest shopper unlike me, Tarragona also offers beautiful beaches like Playa del Miracle or if you go further, you will reach the beach called Platja Arrabassada. This beach is bigger, it has small beach bar and is the perfect place for playing volleyball in the sand and enjoy a tasty mojito.
Restaurants
Now let me tell you about the restaurants in Tarragona. My favorite one is called Ramen Shifu. I think they make the best ramen in Tarragona. I always order the one called “Ramen de Pato” wich means “duck ramen”, and it’s so good.
The vibe at the restaurant is cool and gives a feeling of a street food kitchen. When you come to the restaurant you will not be in doubt if you are at the right place, as the first thing that will greet you is a real truck parked in the entrance.
If you are up for some sweets, there is a lot of good ice cream stores with delicious homemade ice cream, that you can bring on your walk around the city. End the day with a tasty cocktail or a beer at Placa de la Font, which is a place full of people and a good vibe. You will find lots of different bars and restaurants.
AQUOPOLIS WATER PARK
If you’re up for some excitement and action, I’ve got the perfect suggestion for a great family day out. Aquopolis Water Park is just a three minutes’ drive or 16 a minutes’ walk from WISSLER. In this waterpark you will find thrilling water slides, fun wave pools, and lots of attractions for everyone. Trust me, it’s so fun!
Now, here’s my little secret to make the most of it – get there early. That way, you will for sure try all the different things they have. Oh, and don’t forget the sunscreen, it’s a lifesaver. And the most important thing, bring your sense of adventure! Aquopolis is all about laughter, joy, and making memories.

PARC SÁMA
You should for sure visit Parc Sáma. This park is perfect place to disconnect and relax but also to learn new things. You can go with friends, family or by yourself. Inside the park you will find lakes, water fountains and lots of different viewpoints.
There is also this cool greenhouse which has more than 75 species of palm trees and other tropical trees. Or you can go to the Lavender field which blooms between late spring and late summer, that’s so beautiful.
For kids, Parc Samá is a must-visit within the same park. When you walk around the park you will notice that a peacock may suddenly be standing in front of you. That’s pretty cool I think! And another thing is that you can go and see the turtles or walk among deers. Here’s a fun tip: buy cobs of corn at the entrance to feed them. Kids absolutely love it! Plus, there’s a playground and picnic area where you can enjoy a tasty lunch with your family or friends.

FRIDAY MARKET
If you’re up for some local experiences, you’ve got to go to Friday Market in La Pineda. It’s a market with a cozy vibe, where you will find fresh fruit and vegetables, but also souvenirs, sunglasses, bags, clothes and a lot more. Maybe you will make a good deal of some cool items. Make sure to arrive early so you have as much time as possible to walk around, because some sellers start to pack up their things at around 1.30pm.
The market is only a 5 minutes’ walk from WISSLER and it is quite easy to get there, you just go to the side street between the Aquopolis waterpark and the Estival Park Hotel.
